Although necessary, documentation activities take away valuable time that can be spent in technical work so they don’t add much value to processes. A single database was created to consolidate 2 databases in order to reduce the time spent by employees in documentation activities. The design for this data base was based specially on the need of this specific company dedicated to consultation in Regulatory Affairs. This database is able to track current, past and future projects on their different stages, generate a tracking form without the need of filling an additional document, and also produce metrics that will measure project performance and improve personnel productivity. The positive outcome is that the documentation time is significantly reduced and the metrics will be automatically produced in no time, saving time for the employees to focus on technical activities.
