The aerospace industry is a subsector of the defense industry that is fast growing and constantly evolving. One of the challenges faced in this industry is the obsolescence of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, specifically planned obsolescence of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components. To manage obsolescence in a proactive manner, Company AEX’s objective was to implement a relife process to use stored parts while ensuring reliability. Using a strategic planning methodology,
