The project aimed to increase the storage capacity for the drug product process development team in AM17x building at Amgen. Storage process and operation improvements were identified through the use of the lean concept. Warehouse data collection was conducted to gain understanding of available materials and the warehouse was found to have 94% overcapacity. After the improvements and redesigns in the storage areas, the storage capacity in AML7x duplicated for a total of 202 material locations based on pallet space.
