dc.description.abstract | One of the most relevant aspects the atmosphere is its capacity for transporting substances, heat or momentum vertically among different levels. This property is of fundamental importance in the troposphere because otherwise emissions from the ground will be trapped just above the ground. Thus, it is very important to study in detail the mechanical and thermal aspects of the atmosphere through which we can calculate its dispersive capacity. In the first case we only consider the thermal aspect of the atmosphere, in such a way that the vertical distribution of the air determines by itself the dispersive state of the atmosphere. Moreover, the stability states consider the mechanical and the thermal aspects of the atmosphere. The removal of particulate as gas at the air surface is described in meteorological transport models by the terms dry and wet deposition. This, the first of a series of articles, analyzes the phenomenon known as fumigation, which takes place when a thermal inversion occurs at the surface. We will also study the behavior of the atmosphere boundary layer and the turbulence mechanics. | en_US |
